Weazel News

This is not a clock-in job with a menu. It is a working newsroom your city will actually watch.

A shooting hits the radio. Citizens tip Weazel. A crew rolls out with camera and tablet, films the scene, writes the piece, and sends it to the desk. Editors cut, approve, and push it live — to phones, TV tickers, and the paper on the stand. By the time the city is talking, your logo is already on the story.

Players do not press E for a paycheck. They chase the scoop, argue the headline, and put Weazel on every screen in Los Santos.

What players do

• Newsroom — rundown, tips, assignments, drafts, review, publish, ads, events, interviews, media, LIVE TV, radio, archive, stats and staff

• Field tablet (F7) — stories, writing, ads, LIVE, archive and alerts

• Citizens — send a tip, buy a newspaper, place a paid ad, watch LIVE and published news on the phone

Job

• Job journalist + off-duty offjournalist

• Ranks from cameraman to director, with inherited permissions

• Clock in only at the newsroom desk (ox_target / qb-target)

• Hire, promote, demote, fire and pay by rank

Field and publish

• Still camera and shoulder video camera

• Photos, video and interviews on the open story

• Tips → story → draft → review → publish

• Crime, politics, traffic, fire, court and Breaking

• Newspapers at newsstands

• TV ticker and breaking overlay

• Discord webhooks

Ads

Citizens pay the company. A journalist publishes. Packages: Classified, Standard, Featured — price and duration in config.

Phone and LIVE

• NEWS app on qs-smartphone V3, LB Phone and GKSPhone V2 (auto-detect)

• App Store install / uninstall on QS V3

• LIVE camera on phones, host + nearby talker via pma-voice, world SFX around the camera

• FiveManage key recommended for sharp LIVE frames

Garage

• Lot + optional roof helipad

• Plates NEWS001, NEWS002…

• Keys given on take, removed on store

• Works with okokGarage, qb-garages / qb-vehiclekeys, jg-advancedgarages, cd_garage and common key scripts

Install

1. Folder name must be weazel_news

2. ESX: import install/install.sql. QB/Qbox: paste job + items from install/install.lua

3. Set HQ, duty desk, garage and locale in config/config.lua

4. Start order: oxmysql → ox_lib → ox_target → screenshot-basic → pma-voice → vehicle pack → weazel_news

SQL tables create themselves on start.
